Asda Stores Ltd is hiring a Pharmacy Colleague in Sinfin. The role is part-time (22 hours/week) with a permanent contract, requiring weekend shifts and occasional long hours, including Saturdays and weekday evenings.

You will train to become a Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and progress toward Dispensing Assistant as you study. The job is patient-facing, involves using IT systems and assisting customers with prescriptions, health services, and store-based support.

Qualifications

• Patient-facing role requiring confident use of IT systems.
• Willingness to learn and study as part of the role.
• Must pass enhanced safeguarding check.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Promote and explain extra pharmacy services to customers.
• Support Pharmacist with blood pressure checks and smoking cessation schemes.
• Collect prescriptions from doctors' surgeries and bring to store.
• Complete accredited course to become a Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months.
