Job summary

Asda Shaw is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Colleague to join our in-store pharmacy team. You will assist with dispensing, advise customers, and support the pharmacist while developing the skills to progress from Medicine Counter Assistant to Dispensing Assistant.

The role requires weekend work and an enhanced safeguarding check. Training will be provided to progress through the pharmacy credentialed pathway over six months.

Qualifications

• Must be naturally friendly, highly organised and able to communicate well with customers.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Support the Pharmacist with patient services and record keeping (blood pressure checks, STOP smoking, etc).
• Collect prescriptions from doctors’ surgeries and prepare them for store collection.
• Complete relevant training to become a Medicine Counter Assistant and progress to a Dispensing Assistant.
