Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support daily pharmacy operations and assist customers. You will undertake a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support provided alongside your role.

Key duties include helping customers, processing prescriptions under supervision, handling stock and using pharmacy systems, while maintaining safety and confidentiality. The program lasts about 15 months and runs onsite within the local region.

Qualifications

• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• Enthusiasm for healthcare and helping customers.
• Willingness to commit to a 15-month apprenticeship.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow supervision.

Job description

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality

• A genuine interest in healthcare and working with people
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.

Apprenticeship details:

Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
