Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will support day-to-day operations, help customers at the counter, and work toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

Start date 05/10/2026, 15‑month programme, no prior pharmacy experience required. You will gain hands-on experience, stock management, prescription processing under supervision, and customer service in a healthcare

Qualifications

• GCSEs (Maths and English) at grade C/4-9 or equivalent.
• Willingness to undertake Maths and English tests if needed.
• No pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

Brief Description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role
