Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and customer service. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship while working, with comprehensive training and support provided.

Key duties include assisting customers, helping with prescriptions under supervision, handling stock, and using pharmacy systems. No prior pharmacy experience is required.

Qualifications

• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship; GCSEs A–C or 4–9 in Maths and English desired but not essential, as can be provided as part of the course.
• Applicants without Maths/English Level 2 qualifications may be offered employment on condition of completing initial Maths/English tests to determine suitability for the course.
• Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 training and Functional Skills if required.

Job description

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Apprenticeship details:
