Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Slapewath. You will learn on the job while pursuing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience in the healthcare environment and helping with prescriptions, customer service, and stock management.

You will complete the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support, working Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30 and

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as training can be provided.
• If Maths/English Level 2 is missing, candidates may be tested and offered training to determine course suitability.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.

Working Week: Mon-Fri 0900-1730 Sat 0900-4pm

Brief Description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
