Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support the day-to-day running of a busy community pharmacy. You will help customers, assist with prescriptions under supervision, and work with the team to ensure safe, efficient service.

The role includes stock handling, record-keeping, and operating pharmacy systems while training toward a recognised apprenticeship qualification. No prior pharmacy experience is required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential; training provided.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• Commitment to completing Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Brief Description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course. For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
