Key Responsibilities

• Veterinary Medicines: Ensure safe preparation and supply, log dispensing errors and near misses, and maintain controlled drugs register.
• Standard Operating Procedures: Implement SOPs to minimize risk, collaborating with key teams (customer service, purchasing, operations, clinical).
• Customer Counseling: Advise on minor animal ailments, medicine side effects, and general animal health.
• Staff Supervision: Train and supervise pharmacy staff, including Suitably Qualified Persons.
• Business Objectives: Support strategic goals, maximize business potential, and meet set targets.
• Veterinary Liaison: Verify prescriptions with veterinary surgeons to ensure accuracy and legitimacy.
• Medicine Management: Oversee ordering, storage, and dispatch to ensure safety and reduce waste.
• Professional Development: Stay updated with veterinary pharmacy practices and new drugs.
• Record Keeping: Maintain computerized records in line with data protection principles.
• Communication: Ensure prescription queries are communicated to customer service within SLA for patient safety.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualifications: GPhC registered with a Pharmacy degree.
• e-Commerce Understanding: Knowledge of e-Commerce principles and ability to implement business goals.
