Personal Care Assistant

Location: Littlehampton

The role is to support a child. The applicant will be responsible for providing assistance with personal care and companionship during a typical 4‑5 hour workday, usually on Saturday mornings, with additional hours available during school holidays. The position requires a valid driver’s licence, access to a private vehicle, and is an employed role.

Hours and Pay

  • Hours per week: 4–5 hours, ideally Saturday morning (flexible); additional hours during school holidays
  • Hourly pay: £12.21

About the Child

My son is a 7‑year‑old on the autistic spectrum with limited communication skills. He loves water activities, especially swimming, as well as soft play, parks, beach outings and visiting farms. He enjoys companionship and requires assistance with personal grooming, eating, dressing, toileting, and other daily activities.

  • Personal grooming and personal hygiene support

The role may be offered on an employed or self‑employed basis, depending on suitability and agreement with the employer. If employed, the employee will be entitled to holiday pay and a written contract.
