We are looking for a caring individual to join our current support team as a bank worker, supporting a young lady with complex health needs who lives in her own home in Poynton. You will be expected to build a good working relationship with the client, her family, and her team of PAs.
We are looking for an individual who is reliable, trustworthy, kind, and caring. You must be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to use your own initiative. Due to the nature of the position, we are looking for candidates who can offer flexibility within their availability.
Car drivers with a full clean driving licence and willing to drive the client’s wheelchair‑accessible vehicle (manual gears) are essential, and candidates must meet the requirements for motor insurance purposes. The position is based within the client’s home but also within the wider local community. There will be occasions whereby it is necessary to travel to alternative locations. You will be required to work flexibly, and your working hours will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and waking nights. You will need to be reasonably fit and not afraid of water (swimming pool) because the client, who is a wheelchair user, enjoys taking part in a number of indoor and outdoor physical activities.
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and are exempt from the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. As part of Safer Recruitment, any offer of employment will be conditional pending receipt of two satisfactory references (see our Safer Recruitment Policy for more information).
