The Manchester Inpatient Perinatal Service, situated at Laureate House at Wythenshawe Hospital, is recruiting an experienced RMN to join our inpatient service and support the wider inpatient unit. The successful applicant will be a registered RMN with an interest in perinatal mental health. Andersen Ward specialises in the treatment and care of women who develop serious mental illness or relapse during the antenatal and postnatal period. A core part of the role requires you to support mothers and to develop/maintain a relationship with their babies. Family and carer involvement is a significant part of the ward culture, and we promote and support their involvement. The service has strong working partnerships with a wide range of professionals, such as midwives, health visitors, social care and children services across the Northwest, so you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a large multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in infant development and women's mental health. We encourage personal development through managerial and clinical supervision, with a variety of training opportunities within the trust and further training in perinatal mental health provided.
