Job description
Overview

Join a national team dedicated to transforming community health and care services as a Performance Manager. Reporting to the Regional/Managing Director you will lead the performance agenda, ensuring contractual obligations and KPIs are met with excellence. Your insights and operational support will be essential to delivering continuous improvement and high‑quality outcomes across the region. This role is home‑based with regular travel across regional areas (e.g. BSW). The role of Performance Manager is a temporary role for FY26, to provide support to the performance team in the BSW business unit and help drive the execution of the in‑year strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a good understanding of the company’s overall direction, strategy and current operations.
  • Support the Interim Head of Performance in BSW with updates and data assurance to give a view on operational success and any emerging concerns.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the BSW business unit and corporate functions, specifically: Analytics/Clinical Systems to align data with performance and support the Senior Performance Manager in identifying issues and risks.
  • Provide data where necessary to manage operational pressures, feed back on performance and track themes/issues.
  • Further responsibilities as outlined in the attached job description.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience in health, analytics or operational delivery.
  • Experience utilising and capturing data to evidence the delivery of performance targets and plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with emotional intelligence to engage multiple stakeholders at different levels effectively.
  • Experience of producing reports.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders while understanding alternative perspectives and competing demands on others.
  • Confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Understanding of national health policy, including clinical governance, clinical quality, patient safety and quality improvement.
Desirable
  • Experience in the health care sector.
  • Experience of producing data in a healthcare setting, either in the NHS or for a private provider.
  • Good knowledge of health regulatory frameworks and the role of regulators (CQC, Monitor, etc.) and associated health policy.

  • Ability to drive and access to a vehicle for work‑related travel.
  • Ability to manage own workload.
