Job summary

Nottinghamshire Police is seeking a Performance Analyst – Op Beaconport to join the Performance & Insight Team. You will conduct strategic, tactical and operational analysis to support performance and prevention priorities.

You will produce analytical products, reports and dashboards, develop business intelligence solutions, and analyse data to identify trends, risks and opportunities. You will present findings to stakeholders and work with partners to improve data quality and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing and interpreting large and complex data sets.
• Strong knowledge of analytical tools and systems, including Excel, SQL, Power BI or similar platforms.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards and performance products.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly through written reports and presentations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of data governance, GDPR and information management principles.
• Ability to build strong relationships and influence decision-making through evidence-based insight.

Responsibilities

• Conduct strategic, tactical and operational analysis to support performance and prevention priorities.
• Produce analytical products, reports and dashboards that inform decision-making and resource allocation.
• Develop business intelligence solutions using data visualisation and analytical tools.
• Analyse complex performance, crime and prevention data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support senior leaders with evidence-based recommendations to improve organisational performance.
• Provide analytical insight to support inspections, performance frameworks and prevention strategies.
• Present findings through reports, briefings and presentations to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with partners and policing colleagues to improve data quality and performance outcomes.
• Experience analysing and interpreting large and complex data sets.
