XPO Logistics are a forward-thinking company that values innovation, diversity, and growth. We believe that our people are our greatest asset, and are committed to attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent. Our HR People Services team is one part of a growing HR Shared Services team, based in Crick, where the experience our colleagues receive is our number one priority. We touch their work life in many different ways and together, we look after over 5,000 colleagues across over 120 sites. This is a permanent role, based in Crick – Northampton, as a People Services Specialist.
The team plays a pivotal role in supporting the wider business with excellent customer service to all our stakeholders, responsible for the full employee life cycle from recruitment to compensation. This involves ensuring we have all the information needed for a new starter, issuing offer letters and contracts, processing pay increases or changes in working patterns, and liaising with our Payroll and Compensation and Benefits teams. We deal with colleague and management queries, finding solutions, making improvements, upskilling colleagues where needed, and ensuring we deliver the best service possible. It is a busy role that requires attention to detail, organisation, collaboration, coordination, and prioritisation. As we are always looking for ways to improve, an eye for detail and spotting opportunities is key. All of the above is achieved through our case management system and HR system (Success Factors) along with other web-based software. You will need to be comfortable using a wide range of IT applications and learning new ones as we develop and improve. Experience of using Success Factors would be helpful, however not essential; we are looking for you to have strong skills with Excel and Word.
We strive to create an inclusive environment for all our colleagues, where everyone feels welcomed, empowered and where you can bring your true self to work. Even if your experience doesn’t precisely match the job description but you feel you have the skills needed, please feel free to reach out to our recruitment team for an initial discussion. Your skills and passion set you apart and we welcome diverse people and perspectives at XPO. We encourage applications from people of all different backgrounds and identities. To empower you to do as well as possible during the recruitment process, if you require any changes or amendments to our application and interviews, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
