Overview

Here at GXO, we're looking for a People Services Specialist to join us on a permanent basis. Based out of our Head Office in Northampton, you'll play a key part in our central People Services team providing a professional service across a broad range of processes, including case management, onboarding, lifecycle, and leaver processing, as well as supporting with administration and queries. You'll be working from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, with a hybrid working model so you can work from home as well as in the office!

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all tickets are managed, processed, and tracked in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain records of personnel‑related data in line with retention guidance, ensuring all personnel files contain the relevant information required.
  • Work closely with peers and colleagues across People Services to oversee and provide appropriate compliance and governance structure to service improvements identifying risks, issues, and consistency.
  • Maintain and validate data in HR System, including new hires/terminations, transfers, salary/wage changes, benefit deductions/changes, and work locations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year in a shared service environment for a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, GDPR, and contractual law is essential.
  • Able to work at pace and demonstrate flexibility; you will be working in an environment with frequent interruptions, changing tasks and priorities.
  • Experience in an HR‑related role; working towards a CIPD qualification would be an added bonus.
