Job summary

Hawkwood in Oxfordshire is seeking a People Advisor to lead day-to-day People Operations as the business scales. You will own onboarding, offboarding, contracts and inductions, while supporting the HR Lead with broader People initiatives and continuous process improvements.

This role offers hands-on exposure to Employee Relations matters like performance improvements, disciplinaries, grievances and exit interviews, plus the chance to shape systems and tooling as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Around 1-3 years' experience within a People role, ideally within a VC or PE backed tech startup environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting core People processes such as onboarding, offboarding, contracts and employee documentation.
• Some exposure to Employee Relations, or a strong desire to develop your experience across areas such as performance management, disciplinaries and grievances.
• An interest in People systems, tooling and process improvement, with the drive to find better and more efficient ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day People Operations, ensuring employees receive a seamless and engaging experience throughout their time with the business
• Manage key employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, employee documentation and inductions
• Support the HR Lead across Employee Relations matters, gaining exposure to performance improvement plans, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and exit interviews
• Help maintain and develop People systems and processes, supporting the implementation of new tooling and identifying opportunities to make ways of working more efficient
• Get stuck into a variety of People initiatives and projects, working closely with the HR Lead to support the continued development of the People function as the company grows
