Job summary

Oakleaf Partnership is seeking a proactive People Advisor to join a high-performing operational People Team in the United Kingdom. You will report to the People Partner, delivering practical HR advice to managers and colleagues and handling employee relations cases with consistency and legal alignment.

You will guide managers on absence, performance, conduct and engagement, while contributing to broader people initiatives and business transformation.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR advisory, employee relations or generalist HR.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience coaching and supporting line managers.
• Excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, pragmatic HR and employee relations advice.
• Coach managers on absence, performance, conduct and people matters.
• Manage and maintain accurate employee relations records and case documentation.
• Support employee engagement and local people initiatives.
• Monitor HR data, trends and compliance requirements.
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with wider HR and specialist teams.
• Support effective employee lifecycle processes.
