Alexander Steele Recruitment is seeking an HR Advisor in the United Kingdom. You will be a key contact for managers, delivering practical HR support and ensuring consistent people practices across the organisation.

Responsibilities include advising on HR matters, supporting employee relations, coaching managers, and driving engagement initiatives. The role emphasises confidentiality, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR position.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and experience applying HR policies and procedures.
• Interest in employee engagement, wellbeing and creating a positive colleague experience.
• Collaborative and approachable working style with the ability to handle confidential matters.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Providing managers with guidance across a broad range of HR and people-related matters.
• Supporting managers through employee relations cases, investigations, absence management and performance concerns.
• Coaching managers to develop their teams and handle people issues effectively.
• Supporting colleague engagement initiatives including surveys, events and recognition programmes.
• Delivering performance and development initiatives and facilitating career conversations.
• Assisting organisational change, restructures and relevant documentation.
• Championing wellbeing and DEI initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.
• Maintaining accurate HR records and reports to ensure data integrity.
• Managing Right to Work checks and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Collaborating with recruitment and agency partners to support hiring.
• Working with the wider group to standardise HR processes.
• Partnering with Health & Safety to maintain a safe working environment.
• Identifying HR process improvements and driving efficiencies.
