Job summary

MSC UK is seeking an experienced HR People Advisor to join our busy People Relations team. This is a full‑time, permanent role where you will provide practical HR advice to supervisors and managers, handle employee relations casework, and support a mix of transactional work and projects.

Reporting to a People Partner, you will translate employment law into real solutions, maintain policies, and collaborate with Occupational Health and external stakeholders to deliver a best‑in‑class People

Qualifications

• Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous HR employee relations experience with own caseload.
• Good working knowledge of UK Employment Law and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, practical HR advice to supervisors and managers.
• Ensure HR queries are handled or signposted; escalate where necessary.
• Translate employment law and HR best practice into practical solutions for a fast‑paced business.
• Deliver employee relations requirements including absence and performance management and related administration.
• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures for compliance.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders such as Occupational Health.
• Initiate improvements to support employee relations and HR strategy.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
• Support delivery of toolbox talks and training.
