Job summary

Tarmac is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the Payroll Benefits in Kind transformation, ensuring SAP ECC Payroll is aligned with UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.

You will work across Payroll, Reward, Finance, HR and IT to deliver a high-profile programme on a strict deadline, engaging senior stakeholders and ensuring smooth change management across the business.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC compliance.
• Proven SAP ECC Payroll expertise and implementation experience.
• Experience delivering payroll legislation changes, transformation programmes or PBIK projects.
• Excellent project delivery, business analysis and testing experience.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the end-to-end Payroll Benefits in Kind implementation programme.
• Acting as the payroll SME, providing expert guidance on payroll, benefits and HMRC compliance requirements.
• Gathering, documenting and validating business requirements across Payroll, Reward, Finance and HR teams.
• Partnering with IT and third-party providers throughout design, configuration and build phases.
• Managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution and business sign-off.
• Delivering programme governance, stakeholder reporting and RAID management.
• Driving business readiness and ensuring a successful implementation ahead of the April 2027 deadline.
