Ashley Kate HR & Finance is partnering with a client to recruit a Payroll Manager to lead a key payroll change programme focused on Payroll Benefits in Kind (PBIK) within SAP ECC Payroll. Location: Solihull, hybrid working. Salary £45,000 DOE.

The role is for an experienced payroll professional driving HMRC-compliant delivery, collaborating with Payroll, HR, Finance and IT to meet the April 2027 deadline. You will shape requirements, support system configuration and testing, manage risks and

Qualifications

Strong end-to-end UK payroll experience.
Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
Experience working with SAP ECC Payroll.
Previous involvement in payroll change, implementation or transformation projects.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of Payroll Benefits in Kind (PBIK) within SAP ECC Payroll.
Gather and document business requirements across Payroll, HR, Finance and Reward teams.
Work with IT and third-party providers during system design and configuration.
Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Manage project risks, issues and stakeholder communications.
Provide regular progress updates and reporting.
Support business readiness and delivery ahead of the April 2027 deadline.
