Job summary

Trinity House Group Ltd is seeking a Payroll Manager to own a high-profile payrolling project from start to finish. You will lead the rollout of payrolling benefits in kind (PBIK) ahead of the HMRC deadline, while the business migrates to a new SAP HR and payroll platform.

The role offers a genuinely flexible hybrid pattern; 2–3 days in the office is typical, but 1 day can work if needed. You will be a payroll professional leading the project with IT and external partners, coordinating across

Qualifications

• Strong PBIK knowledge and HMRC expectations.
• Hands-on SAP payroll experience and ability to talk with IT partners.
• Solid UK payroll experience with knowledge of payroll legislation.
• Experience with payroll/system change projects and testing.
• Clear communicator with Payroll, Finance and HR and IT.
• Organised and calm under pressure with a fixed HMRC deadline.
• Able to guide two payroll administrators on delivery.
• Available immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead PBIK implementation from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery for HMRC deadline.
• Be the go-to expert on payroll, benefits in kind and HMRC requirements for the project.
• Detail the new process needs with Payroll, Reward, Finance and HR across SAP.
• Collaborate with IT and external partners through design, configuration and build in SAP.
• Lead user acceptance testing and drive defects to resolution for sign-off.
• Maintain governance with RAID log and regular stakeholder updates.
• Identify risks early and manage them before they become issues.
• Supervise two Payroll Administrators to keep delivery focused.
• Prepare payroll for migration to the new SAP HR/payroll platform and time/attendance system.
• Propose improvements to payroll processes within the transformation.
