Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our busy team in West Yorkshire. The role involves managing the full payroll process, supporting employees with payroll queries and providing HR administration assistance.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of payroll experience, strong numerical skills, and attention to detail. Experience with Sage payroll and HR admin duties is advantageous. This is an office-based, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' payroll processing experience.
• Previous experience supporting weekly payroll processes would be advantageous.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient IT skills, including spreadsheet usage.
• Experience with Sage payroll systems would be advantageous.
• Previous HR administration experience is desirable.
• Multilingual skills would be beneficial.
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to payroll and HR-related queries.
• Collate and process employee working hours.
• Complete end-to-end weekly payroll processing.
• Process SSP, SMP, SPP, holiday pay, expenses, pensions, deductions and P45s.
• Set up new starters on payroll systems.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
• Upload and process employee expenses.
• Liaise with employees and resolve payroll-related queries.
• Support onboarding activities, including staff inductions and employment contracts.
• Assist with visa applications where required.
• Maintain and update company spreadsheets and databases.
• Provide wider HR administrative support.
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained when handling employee information.
