Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is recruiting a Payroll Officer for a busy UK team in Sherburn-in-Elmet. The role combines end-to-end payroll processing with HR administration duties in a busy, growing organisation. You will manage weekly payroll, respond to queries, process deductions and maintain records with accuracy and discretion.

The successful candidate will have payroll experience, strong numerical skills and attention to detail, with flexibility for peak periods and occasional extra hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' payroll processing experience.
• Experience supporting weekly payroll processes is advantageous.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to payroll and HR-related queries.
• Collate and process employee working hours.
• Complete end-to-end weekly payroll processing.
• Process SSP, SMP, SPP, holiday pay, expenses, pensions, deductions and P45s.
• Set up new starters on payroll systems.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
• Upload and process employee expenses.
• Liaise with employees and resolve payroll-related queries.
• Support onboarding activities, including staff inductions and employment contracts.
• Assist with visa applications where required.
• Maintain and update company spreadsheets and databases.
• Provide wider HR administrative support.
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained when handling employee information.
