Key duties
- Provide a full and effective comprehensive range of administrative support which will enable the Patient Safety Team to fulfil its function to a high quality standard.
- Require knowledge of all aspects of incident management, expertise in use of the Trust’s risk management systems and the Learning from Patient Safety Events (LFPSE) platform.
- Liaise with a multi-disciplinary team including clinicians, managers and other administrative staff in a professional manner and provide guidance to all levels of staff on Trust requirements for incident review.
- Facilitate completion of tasks and support Divisional teams in meeting internal and national standards.
- Support the maintenance of data captured within the Trust’s Risk Management (DCIQ) system and the LFPSE platform.
- Co‑ordinate agendas for Trust’s Executive and Director‑led incident review groups and capture outcomes from discussions at the meetings.
- Provide a professional approach when dealing with sensitive issues.
In pursuing these duties the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution and be familiar with the NHS England Guidance ‘Understanding the new NHS’.
