Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Outpatient Clinic Receptionist/Call Centre Clerk (Band 2) to join the Outpatients Team at Luton and Dunstable Hospital. The part-time post is 22.5 hours across Wednesday to Friday, 08:30–17:00 with a one-hour break.

You will provide a prompt and professional clinic reception service, manage bookings for follow-up clinics, and contribute to smooth running of outpatient appointments while delivering high-standard patient care in a busy

Qualifications

At least 3 GCSEs – or similar qualification or experience
Must have clerical experience
Call centre/reception experience
NHS experience, Choose and Book experience

Responsibilities

To provide a prompt and professional clinic receptionservice to patients in line with office procedures, contributing to the overall efficient and effective running of the outpatient appointment function.
To manage the booking of designated follow up clinics and ensure that these are booked efficiently and that any booking issues are raised immediately with medical staff to ensure patient care is not compromised.
To ensure smooth operation of the outpatient reception area and support accurate patient checking in and appointment flow.
