Job summary

The Suttons Medical Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our welcoming GP practice. As the first point of contact, you will create a calm, helpful atmosphere for patients arriving in person or calling by phone.

You will handle appointments and inquiries, support registrations and admin requests, and maintain accurate records while working closely with GPs and nurses. Full training is provided and experience in healthcare is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a front-of-house or healthcare reception is desirable but not required.
• Full training provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
• Manage appointments and respond to patient inquiries.
• Answer calls and direct to the appropriate staff.
• Process registrations, prescriptions and admin requests.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Support smooth day-to-day practice operations.
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses and the wider team.
