Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Patient Advisor to be the first point of contact at a GP practice in Leicester. You will handle patient enquiries, registrations, and basic information on services, while supporting clinical and administrative teams.

A compassionate, organised approach and familiarity with NHS privacy rules are essential. You will manage appointments, triage support via AccuRx, maintain accurate records in SystmOne, and collaborate with doctors and reception staff to ensure smooth daily

Qualifications

• Experience in front-line patient-facing roles or reception.
• Understanding of GDPR and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and records accurately.
• Proactive and compassionate approach to patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors with a welcoming, professional manner.
• Answer phones and direct enquiries to the right staff.
• Assist with AccuRx Total Triage form and appointment management.
• Manage new patient registrations and provide information on services.
• Maintain patient records in line with GDPR and practice protocols.
• Support IT systems and coordinate with clinical and admin teams.
