Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland at Path House Medical Practice in Kirkcaldy is seeking a Care Navigator/Administrator for two part-time permanent positions, Monday–Friday. The role centers on handling high-volume patient calls, booking appointments and guiding patients to the right clinician.

Candidates should have excellent communication, customer service skills, empathy and discretion, with good IT ability to learn GP systems. Shifts are 25 or 30 hours per week.

• Empathy, discretion and ability to remain professional in a busy environment.
• Good IT skills and ability to learn GP/clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Answering and managing incoming patient calls.
• Booking, rearranging and cancelling appointments via clinical software.
• Greeting and booking in patients at reception.
• Assessing patient needs and signposting to the appropriate clinician or service.
• Processing repeat prescription requests.
