Job summary

CHEC is expanding its patient services team in the NHS collaboration. The Patient Coordinator will be the first point of contact for patients, handling inbound/outbound calls about appointments and performing related administrative duties with care and accuracy.

The role requires empathy, excellent communication and strong organisational skills, with a focus on patient confidentiality and quality data handling. DBS checks and safeguarding adherence are part of the employment process.

Qualifications

• Must show empathy with patients and genuine care.
• Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent telephone manner.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other systems.
• Able to learn and adapt to new internal systems.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and schedule work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support patients and be the first point of contact.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, responding sensitively to distressed patients.
• Provide advice to patients about available services.
• Use communication skills including empathy, tact and reassurance in handling all calls.
