Job summary

Menlo Park Recruitment is helping a large group of GP practices in the South West appoint a Patient Co-ordinator. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, listening, guiding and helping them access the right service.

The role offers Monday to Friday hours, 20 hours per week, with training provided and opportunities for career development. Experience in customer-facing roles and GCSE English and Maths are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality or reception.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of EMIS or patient record systems is a plus.
• Experience within a GP surgery or healthcare setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients contacting the practice.
• Help patients access the most appropriate healthcare service.
• Manage appointment requests and bookings.
• Provide excellent customer service over the phone and face-to-face.
• Support patients with enquiries and administrative requests.
• Create and maintain accurate patient records.
• Process correspondence and documentation.
• Work closely with GPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Help ensure patients receive a safe, efficient and positive experience.
