Perfect Placement UK Ltd. is seeking a Parts Supervisor for a well-established automotive dealership in Crawley, West Sussex. The role focuses on leading the Parts team, overseeing stock control, and ensuring efficient supply to minimise vehicle downtime.

The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience in a motor dealership, strong IT literacy (Kerridge/Keyloop preferred), and excellent communication and customer service skills. A full UK driving licence is essential.

• Proven experience as a Parts Supervisor or similar role in a motor dealership environment.
• Strong knowledge of parts ordering, stock control and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to support departmental performance.

Responsabilités

• Lead and motivate the Parts team to deliver excellent service and operational efficiency.
• Manage daily Parts Department operations to ensure swift parts supply and minimise downtime.
• Oversee procurement, stock management and stock control to maintain optimal levels.
• Process stock receipts and returns in line with company standards.
• Build strong relationships with workshop, sales and service to improve workflow.
• Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and service quality.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of team members.
• Ensure health and safety standards and maintain housekeeping.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve issues promptly.

Duties of the Parts Supervisor:

• Lead, support, and motivate the Parts team to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency
• Manage daily operations within the Parts Department to ensure swift parts supply and minimise vehicle downtime
• Oversee parts procurement, stock management, and inventory control to maintain optimal levels
• Ensure accurate processing of stock receipts, returns, and documentation in line with company standards
• Develop strong working relationships with workshop, sales, and service departments to improve operational flow
• Monitor departmental performance and implement strategies to enhance profitability and service quality
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and uphold high standards of department housekeeping
• Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to preserve the company’s reputation

Requirements of the Parts Supervisor:

• Proven experience as a Parts Supervisor or similar role within a commercial vehicle or motor dealership environment
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of parts ordering, inventory management, and stock control systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Commercial awareness and ability to support departmental performance
• Competent IT skills; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop is desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential
• Experience with manufacturer warranty processes is advantageous but not mandatory
