Job summary

Ernest Doe & Sons Limited in Sutterton is seeking a motivated Parts Advisor to support the parts department and its customers. You will assist customers and technicians with machinery parts enquiries, process and dispatch orders, and provide accurate product advice to staff and clients.

The role requires strong communication, good product knowledge or willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a busy retail environment while delivering high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills for dealing with customers and colleagues in a polite, professional and helpful manner.
• Knowledge of agricultural, horticultural or motor industry parts would be advantageous.
• Strong people skills and confidence when dealing with the general public.
• Good understanding of the products sold by the business, or willingness to learn.

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our established team at our Sutterton branch in Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy parts and retail environment and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service to customers and colleagues.

About the role

Reporting to the Parts & Retail Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the parts department by helping customers and technicians with machinery parts enquiries. You will process and dispatch customer orders, respond to enquiries face to face and over the telephone, and help ensure customers receive the right products and advice in a professional and timely manner.

About you

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with customers and colleagues in a polite, professional and helpful manner
• Knowledge of agricultural, horticultural or motor industry parts would be advantageous

• A good understanding of the products sold by the business, or a willingness to learn

Additional Information

• Start Date: Immediate, subject to the successful candidate’s notice period
• Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Saturday working will be required on a rota basis. Overtime is paid at time and a half once 39 hours have been completed Monday to Friday.
