Job summary

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group in Newbury is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to deliver a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience for clients and their pets. You will manage appointments, handle enquiries, support client communications and work closely with teams to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

The role is part-time (28 hours/week) with a schedule across weekdays and limited weekend hours, offering a supportive, caring practice environment with ongoing

Our team is passionate about delivering outstanding care to patients and exceptional service to clients. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive experience for every client and pet visiting the practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

General Responsibilities

Our reception team is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every client has the best possible experience when visiting the practice.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role working 28 hours per week.

• Monday: 7.30am–1.30pm (6 hours)
• Tuesday: 8.00am–2.00pm (6 hours)
• Wednesday: 7.30am–1.30pm (6 hours)
• Thursday: 1.30pm–7.30pm (6 hours)
• Saturday 8am 12pm 1 in 10 Sunday 9am to 12pm paid in TOIL
