Job summary

Local Care Direct is recruiting part-time Receptionists to support one of our Urgent Treatment Centres in the Leeds area. You will be the first point of contact for patients, helping create a welcoming, calm and professional environment while collaborating with clinicians and operational colleagues as part of a wider team.

Your duties include managing patient queries, ensuring the reception and waiting areas run smoothly, and supporting the delivery of safe, compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service in healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments.
• Reliable and organised with good administrative skills.
• Desirable experience in healthcare or customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients in a professional, efficient and sensitive manner, enhancing their experience.
• Managing patient queries face‑to‑face and over the telephone.
• Ensuring reception and waiting areas are safe, organised and welcoming.
• Liaising with clinicians, health professionals and operational staff.
• Communicating effectively with external stakeholders when required.
• Supporting clinical and operational processes to enable high-quality patient care.
