Job summary

Confidential in Dorking is seeking a Temporary Customer Service & Telesales Assistant for an initial 4-week period, office-based, working 3 days per week (up to 21 hours) with an hourly rate of £13–£15 depending on experience.

You will speak to customers and potential customers by telephone and email, answer questions and help people through an online entry/submission process, and maintain accurate records. The role is temporary with a potential extension after the initial period.

Qualifications

• Friendly, confident and comfortable on the phone
• Organised, proactive and able to manage follow-ups
• Confident communicating with people internationally
• Accurate with data entry and administration
• Confident using email, Excel and online systems

Responsibilities

• Calling previous and potential customers
• Following up with people who have started but not completed an online submission
• Answering questions and providing information clearly and confidently
• Helping customers navigate an online platform and complete their submission
• Following up by email with relevant information and links
• Maintaining accurate records of calls, outcomes and follow-ups
• Managing a database and keeping information up to date
• Escalating technical or more complex queries where required
• Working towards agreed call and conversion targets
