Job summary

Elmore Green Primary School in Walsall is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning for a pupil with significant additional needs. This part-time role (30 hours per week, term-time only) operates within Band 7-11 pay scale.

The post is temporary until August 2029 to cover the special needs provision. The successful candidate will work with pupils with neuro-divergence and communication and global delay needs, helping them reach their full potential in Key Stage 1

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and helping them achieve potential.
• Experience with neuro-divergence and communication/global delay needs.
• Ability to motivate pupils and raise attainment within KS1/KS2.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning for a pupil with significant additional needs.
• Promote social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
• Adapt teaching methods to engage pupils with complex needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents, external professionals and governors.
