Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council advertises a part-time Cleaning Supervisor and Cleaner role at St Paul’s Primary School in Whitehill, Hamilton. The post covers 15 hours per week during term time, with 7.5 hours as Cleaning Supervisor and 7.5 hours as Cleaner. Work pattern is Monday to Friday, 3pm to 6pm.

The role offers hourly rates of £13.80 for Cleaner and £14.12–£14.27 for Supervisor, with a temporary contract until 31 March 2027. Applicants must meet security and safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Supervise a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning), including training and recruitment.
• Carry out cleaning duties on floors, furniture, fittings and sanitary areas.
• Monitor cleaning standards in line with specifications and COSHH regulations.
• Set up rooms for lets and act as on-site responsible person for reporting health and safety issues.
• Ensure building security and act as a key-holder as required.
