Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council in Scotland is advertising a part-time school cleaner role at Stonelaw High School. The post is 17.5 hours per week, term time, with shifts from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.

The hourly rate is £13.80 and the position is temporary until 23 October 2027. Duties include cleaning floors, furniture, fixtures and sanitary areas, reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, operating a buffing machine where required, and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles is preferred.
• Willingness to work part-time (term-time) hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas and walls.
• Report to the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Operate a buffing machine to clean floors as required.
• Ensure building security and act as a key-holder when needed.
• Monitor cleaning standards in line with specifications and COSHH regulations.
• Remove refuse and dispose of waste appropriately.
