Job summary

The South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting for a part-time Cleaning Operative and Cleaning Supervisor at Cathkin High School in Cambuslang, with a term-time pattern totaling 15 hours weekly. Shifts run Mon-Tue 4pm-7pm and Wed-Fri 3.30pm-6.30pm; cleaners earn £13.80/hour and supervisor rates range £14.12–£14.27/hour.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, furniture, fixtures and sanitary areas, monitoring standards, and acting as on-site key-holder.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning operations and supervising a small team.
• Ability to monitor cleaning standards and report issues.
• Familiar with COSHH regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning of floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings and sanitary areas.
• Monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulations; report issues to management.
• Supervise a team of Facility Assistants, including training, recruitment, attendance, and briefings.
