Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is advertising a part-time Cleaning Supervisor/Cleaner role at St Paul’s Primary School, Whitehill, Hamilton, ML3 0PX. The post is 15 hours per week during term time, with 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday.

The Cleaner rate is £13.80/hr and Supervisor rate is £14.12–£14.27/hr, temp until 31 March 2027. The successful candidate will lead a team of Facility Assistants, monitor cleaning standards (COSHH), oversee room setups for lets, manage health and safety reporting and act as

• Experience supervising a cleaning team.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and health & safety.
• Ability to monitor cleaning standards and report issues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning on floors, furniture, sanitary areas and walls.
• Monitor cleaning standards per spec and COSHH; report issues.
• Set up rooms for lets; be on-site responsible for health and safety reporting.
• Supervise Facility Assistants; assist with training; recruitment; attendance; briefings.
• Ensure building security and act as key-holder.
