Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor/Cleaner at Forth Primary School in Forth, ML11 8AE. The role is term-time only, 15 hours per week, with duties split 7.5 hours as Cleaning Supervisor and 7.5 hours as Cleaner. Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 3pm–6pm.

The position requires compliance with COSHH and health and safety standards, monitoring cleaning quality and ensuring security on site. You will supervise a team, set up rooms for lets and report issues to management.

Qualifications

• Supervise a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning).
• Ensure cleaning standards in line with COSHH and safety requirements.
• Carry out cleaning duties across floors, furniture and sanitary areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train cleaning staff; assist with recruitment and attendance.
• Set up rooms for lets and act as on-site person for reporting health and safety issues.
• Maintain building security and monitor cleaning standards per specification.
