Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee all catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part‑time basis (32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year). You will supervise kitchens and counters, ensure exceptional food standards and customer service, and support the team to exceed expectations.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, health and safety compliance, and the ability to communicate KPIs and performance targets to your line

Qualifications

• Two years of catering experience required.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and service
• Communicating with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Liaising between customers and culinary/service teams to exceed expectations
• Training teams and leading from the front to enable excellence
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across catering and service teams
