Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, seeks an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee all catering and service operations under a 30-hour weekly contract. You will deliver high-quality food and exceptional service across kitchens and counters.

You will lead culinary teams, drive KPIs, ensure Health & Safety compliance, and maintain a strong brand image while collaborating with management and education clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service.
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Liaising between customers and our culinary and service teams to exceed expectations.
• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to help everyone excel.
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all teams.
