Job summary

The Copthorne Hotel Slough Windsor is seeking a Reservations Agent to be the first point of contact for guests and stakeholders, entering correct booking information into Opera promptly and to operate with a selling attitude at all times in order to maximise room sales and hotel revenues.

You will work on-site in Slough, using Opera to handle individual and group reservations, ensuring information is accurate, and contributing to a professional guest experience with strong attention to deadlines

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of Opera reservations system.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Be fully conversant with the Opera system for individual and group reservations.
• Follow all departmental standards and procedures.
• Gather all information required for a reservation accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize thorough product knowledge to assist clients.
• Operate with a sales attitude to maximise hotel revenue.

Reservations Agent key responsibilities

• To be fully conversant with the Opera system and to apply it to individual and group
• reservations
• To be fully aware of all department standards of performance and procedures and to
• follow them
• To be fully aware of all information required for a reservation and to obtain it
• accurately and efficiently
• To possess a thorough product knowledge at all times and to utilise this information
• when dealing with clients
• To operate with a sales attitude and be aware of the sales opportunities within the
• Hotel which will assist with the maximisation of revenue
• To have a comprehensive understanding of the departmental telephone standards and
• that calls are answered and handled in a timely manner in accordance with departmental standards

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge of Opera
• Capacity to complete jobs within the deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and work under pressure
