Job summary

Bradley Environmental Consultants in Ossett is seeking a Part-Time P401 Qualified Laboratory Analyst to join our UKAS-accredited laboratory. You will analyse asbestos bulk samples, ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance and maintain accurate reports for internal teams and external clients.

The role requires a BOHS P401 qualification, at least 12 months' UKAS-lab experience, and strong IT skills. Flexible, part-time hours with opportunities for professional development within a nationwide consultancy.

Qualifications

• BOHS P401 qualification (essential).
• Minimum 12 months' experience in a UKAS-accredited asbestos laboratory.
• Knowledge of asbestos bulk sample analysis and lab quality procedures.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyse asbestos bulk samples in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Identify and report asbestos-containing materials using approved techniques.
• Produce accurate laboratory reports for internal and external clients.
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation per quality procedures.
• Work in compliance with UKAS requirements, health & safety legislation.
• Participate in internal quality assurance programmes, audits and proficiency testing.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and laboratory safety.
• Undertake continuing professional development and training as required.
