Job summary

Bradley Environmental Consultants in Ossett is seeking a Part-Time P401 Qualified Laboratory Analyst to join the UKAS-accredited lab. You will analyse asbestos bulk samples and prepare reports for clients, ensuring ISO/IEC 17025 compliance and ongoing accreditation.

The role requires UKAS experience, strong attention to detail and teamwork, with good IT skills and the ability to work 1:00pm–5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• BOHS P401 qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 12 months' experience in a UKAS-accredited asbestos lab.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyse asbestos bulk samples per ISO/IEC 17025.
• Identify and report asbestos-containing materials.
• Produce accurate lab reports for internal and external clients.
• Maintain lab records per quality procedures.
• Work to UKAS requirements and health & safety regulations.
• Participate in internal QA, audits and proficiency testing.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and safety standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
