Job summary
Bradley Environmental Consultants – Powered by Vadella is seeking a Part-Time Qualified Laboratory Analyst to join our Maidstone UKAS-accredited laboratory. The role focuses on the accurate analysis of asbestos bulk samples in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, delivering high-quality reports and maintaining QA/UKAS compliance.
The ideal candidate holds a BOHS P401 qualification with at least 12 months' experience in a UKAS-accredited asbestos laboratory, strong IT skills (Word/Excel), and
Qualifications
- BOHS P401 qualification (essential)
- At least 12 months' experience in a UKAS-accredited asbestos laboratory
- Strong understanding of asbestos bulk sample analysis and QA procedures
- Good IT skills including Word & Excel
- Experience using TEAMS (desirable) and willingness to learn
Responsibilities
- Analyse asbestos bulk samples per ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Identify and report asbestos-containing materials with approved techniques
- Produce accurate laboratory reports for internal and external clients
- Maintain laboratory records per quality procedures
- Ensure compliance with UKAS requirements and health & safety legislation
- Participate in internal QA programmes, audits and proficiency testing
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and lab safety
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
