Job summary

Burhill Group Limited (BGL) in Thornbury is seeking a Lodge Assistant on a maternity cover basis. The role is part-time, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.30am–2.30pm, combining guest service, bookings and administration to ensure lodges are ready for guests and payments are handled smoothly.

We value someone who is friendly, organised and proactive, with strong communication skills and a genuine effort to provide a warm, professional guest experience throughout stays.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
• Friendly and professional communicator.
• Comfortable handling bookings and payments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage lodge bookings, enquiries and amendments.
• Process and monitor payments and maintain records.
• Complete general administrative duties relating to bookings and guest stays.
• Check Lodge & Clubhouse are clean, prepared and ready for guests.
• Answer guest queries in person, by phone and email.
• Respond to questions before and during stays.
• Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance and other teams.
• Support day-to-day lodge operation with the wider team.
