Job summary

Classic Lodges Limited is seeking a friendly Part-time Food and Beverage Assistant to join the front-of-house team at a UK hotel. The role supports breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and evening service as required, with flexible hours to suit a rota.

Ideal candidates will have a welcoming manner, good communication skills and the ability to work calmly in a busy environment. Training is provided, and there is a rota that includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing hospitality is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to work accurately in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Basic numeracy and confidence handling cash and card payments.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, attentive and efficient service to guests in the restaurant, bar and for private events.
• Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring presentation and portion standards are met.
• Prepare service areas, set tables and maintain cleanliness in line with hotel standards.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and handle payments with integrity and attention to detail.
• Assist with buffet and beverage replenishment, tray service and clearing as required.
• Support the team with stock rotation, basic stock counts and reporting low stock to management.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and resolve minor issues, escalating when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and housekeeping colleagues to ensure smooth guest experiences.
